About SPOC

The St. Paul’s Outreach Ministry operates out of a church-owned property—an old house–at 365 Peyton Road, a few doors from the church. From this facility, the center provides programs and meaningful services to meet the basic needs of individuals, youth, families, and senior citizens. A committed group of church volunteers provides valuable time and talents to assist in supporting the center’s three main program areas:

Food Distribution ~ Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the center distributes food to the community. More than 500 families are served monthly and approximately 7,000 pounds of food are distributed per month. Turkey baskets are also distributed during the Thanksgiving holiday season.

Clothing ~ The center maintains a clothes closet, which provides free clothing and household items to more than 500 families.

SPOC_2Education ~ Volunteers mentor boys and girls in grades 3-5 at Peyton Forest Elementary School and F. L. Stanton Elementary School. An exciting new Adult Literacy Program was recently introduced for parents and the community at Stanton. A math and science tutoring program for first and second graders at the schools will be implemented soon.
